Compared to the master piece of Elden Ring, this game is a two step backwards approach. You don’t get any enjoyment in playing the game in terms of exploration, creating your own character, leveling up, trying out different weapons, armor, and abilities, or reading and enjoying the in depth lore of the story. You’re just thrown into the game running around like a chicken with its head cut off scrounging up weapons and materials with a short window of time till the death circle starts closing in. All this is another Battle Royal game (which I’ve never liked) with an Elden Ring aesthetic with set characters. A disappointing approach and step away from the traditional From Software games we’ve all come to enjoy once we got over the difficulty part.

Despite the average rating this game has (which is why I bought it), it was actually disappointing in many ways. The atmosphere of the game was hardly immersive, especially when the game takes place in Russia but nearly everyone speaks in a normal English accent and speaking very little Russian. Much of the layout, enemies, and and some cut scenes looked like something someone would experience through a really bad psychedelic drug trip. The game may have had its own uniqueness to it, but not in a good way and most of it was very anti-climatic. Of course this is my take on it.
