I love srk
And so this journey with SRK was worth it for me
He made me smile, laugh, feel love and heartbreak, he took us through struggle and feeling of achievement( twice ).
Vicky Kaushal is amazing and Vicky Kochhar delivers a memorable performance.
All the other characters who make up the Dunki universe do their parts well even the goras and Arabs.
What falters is that Dunki always feels like it’s stuck in 3rd gear and never hits the top speed. Emotional highs are lost instantly and the lingering awesomeness is missing.
The songs are beautiful and flow nicely into the script. It’s a delight to see Shahrukh dance to luttputt on big screen and I saw kids dancing along in the multiplex.
It’s a delight to watch once - my mum and mil enjoyed it too.
Not for multiple viewings though.
Don’t compare it to PK or 3 idiots and never to munnabhai - Hirani ji missed Vidhu Vinod here and it’s evident.
But if after pathaan and jawaan you felt like you were missing some part of the srk experience. You will find it here.
It’s like Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (lite)
