Cutting for Stone was inputdownable I created the word as I read Verghese. What master of words, insight into the people, their language and the twist and turns of fate. I learnt so much about the human body. I marvel at a surgeon who can operate on words to bring so much life. I also met Dr. Haile Debas who is a friend of Verghese. An admirer and friend. That does give it a personal touch.
