I went into this movie not knowing what to expect... and yes I am a huge dragon ball fan of this anime, manga, and movies since a child like most attendees are. From the beginning you maybe question the choice of animation of the characters but the world is absolutely stunning. Including the fight scenes as well, the animation did not fail to deliver in how clear every movement was and the intentions behind every move.
Another field this movie succeeded in doing was their story. Die hard fans got to see a lot of original lore touched on and they did a hell of fan service for us. The pacing was kinda quick but you never lost the sense of urgency within the characters and plot line altogether. Just about every fight meant something and again had stunning and clear visuals til the end.
To end this review, my overall take from this that I didn't expect to have was how hilarious this movie was. I think I laughed at about 80% of the jokes that came across and were tastefully done. This world of DB has been so serious so to see the character become more human with sarcastic moments and satirical humor was great for me. If you're a die hard like myself, do yourself a favor and go.
