I just watched this movie for the first time since I saw it when I was a young kid. This movie taught us all things and at the time being so young I had no idea what those things were. Subconsciously my brain did as it was teaching us about the greatest human emotion of all. Love. That is what it is to be human. The way they choose to do that was clever unique and refreshing. I never knew it “bombed” at the box office but what a huge disservice to this film. This film is not just a movie it truly is a piece of art. All the actors/actresses just “fit” perfectly in this movie. Now this time I watched this movie with my wife because she had never seen it. And man it was so refreshing to see it again after 20ish years since I first saw it. I rarely cry in a movie and this movie made me cry 2 separate parts for 2 different reasons. One for sadness and then happy tears. One of the all time greats. And I hope one day society will get on bird with this.
