I really wanted to like this movie, especially after the very positive review in the New York Times. After seeing the movie, I wonder what the reviewers saw. For instance, they mentioned that the film was shot in vibrant color, but to me, it looked dull and gray. The central character in the movie is almost mute. She doesn’t express any emotion. There’s no background to her character and there’s no sense that things are going to develop in any meaningful way. The entire set up is poorly, explained and unmotivated. We were bored and frustrated and left after 45 minutes. I can’t imagine that the movie improves. Don’t waste your time.
