I have been looking forward to this movie for a long time. I have been a fan and supporter of Kevin Costner for YEARS. Well... Sadly this movie was a big disappointment. Why? This movie is one , if not the slowest paced movie. When it starts off, the first scenes don't seem to provide much. For nearly the first hour, the scenes switch around to at least 6 different story lines. OK, It's about the challenges of life on the western frontier. Yes.. But it doesn't seem to tie in together. Trying to remember which plot and why, when it switches back to that plot us way too hard. Oh I like twists. Plots jump ahead from one scene to another as if an important transition was cut out. At 2 hours I was ready to walk out. I have only ever walked out of 3 other movies in my life. Lol...I'm a senior now... I stayed a bit longer and finally got up and left. Didn't care. And I was planning on going to see Chapter 2. NOPE.
