It takes Adam Green about 15 or 20 minutes to relax and look 'natural' in front of the camera, but you'll see it happen and from then on it's GAME ON. If you're a fan of monsters and you're thinking that maybe you've seen too many bad "There's a Monster Running Amok in the Woods" movies, you need to see "Digging Up the Marrow." It's surprisingly good.

The Longest Straw is about the Los Angeles Aqueduct and the DWP, Owens Valley and the communities that have been drained of their potential since its construction over 100 years ago. Well directed and nicely narrated by Samantha Bode, who hikes the 338-mile journey, this documentary has lots of great images and stories from various people Samantha meets throughout her hike. It is unpretentious, enlightening, unbiased...and sublime.
