Despite the criticism of how the story is told, this movie does have a strong storyline. It is a very poignant love story about the cold war and the consequences of betrayal. Perhaps, the biggest drawback with movie audiences is that it does not have a happy ending. It is a shame that a movie with such a strong theme would be faulted. The acting is outstanding.
