I’m about half way through the book series so the first few books are still fresh in my mind. Watching the TV series was extremely disappointing. I understand that you can’t include everything but instead of condensing the story they ignored the great expanse of material available and made up a bunch of sub-par crud to replace it. I spent every episode of the first two seasons turning to my husband (who has read the whole series) saying “What? What is even happening? This is not how it goes at all!” We kept watching, through cringes, just to see how it would go but I cannot recommend it to anyone.
