It humanizes those that we have referred to as hillbillies. Shows their strengths as well as their weaknesses. It's not intended to be a feel good movie. Loved Glen Close as Mammaw. I previously listened to the audio book. I think there should be more stories about people in "flyover" states. They're Americans too.
