A 20 episode drama? I was slightly hesitant but I gave it a try. And to say I don't regret it is an understatement.
The way this doesn't just focus on our 5 neighborhood friends, but on their families is what I loved the most. It shows you the wide variety of struggles we face during the course of our life. From school to being an adult to the struggles of a parent. It has it all. I loved that this drama didn't just center around romantic love but expanded through friendship and the relationship between a parent and their child or the love of the a person for their neighbor.
Why it didn't get a 5 star for me (personally) was the ending. I thought it was lacking and the writing of it all just wasn't it. I had accepted the fact that the couple I was rooting for wouldn't end up together but it was the complete disregard of 2 main characters' lives in the future. As a viewer, you get sucked into everyone's life and you're invested in these families, so it was VERY disappointing to not even give us closure on everyone we had invested so much time loving throughout the show. The last 2 episodes were very infuriating in that sense. The sense of not knowing what happened to all the characters.
