OUTSTANDING! Excellent performances, especially by those who portrayed the commanding German officers - I binged on this series and was sorry when it came to an end.

This is one of the very best series of any series I have ever watched - not only is the script for each episode entirely delightful and masterfully delivered, but the acting is impeccable...especially Robert Hardy, who plays the character, Dr. Siegfried Farnon; I am watching the entire series for the second time, just to watch him again, and his animated facial expressions expertly sequenced with his body movements and many gestures, and his flawless delivery of every line! As well, Peter Davison, who plays his "little brother", Tristan, is an absolute riot! I cannot exclaim it's praises highly enough, and I am curious to see if the new Masterpiece Theatre production (of 2021) can even so much as "hold a candle" or closely compare to the BBC original predecessor of 1977 - 1990.
