Smart, suspenseful, and full of surprises. The Diplomat is a tour de force for Keri Russell. Rufus Sewell's none too shabby as the long-suffering, and still ambitious spouse. Character, character, character. This show's loaded with 'em, and I have no complaints. Except 8 episodes, and an undetermined hiatus, are entirely unacceptable. Do better for season 2, Netflix.
