I mean…There was something off about the entire movie. The acting, the artificial lines, the predictable plot. There were sooooo many unnecessary characters and such weird interactions! Like the boy tryna take allergy medicine and acting like they were hard drugs to impress the Eldest daughter. Like, i get it was to create tension between Jess and the Eldest daughter (completely forgot her name) but I feel they could have done something different. THE OLD LADY OMG- she was ONLY there to info-dump AND IT WAS ALWAYS IN THE MOST UNNATURAL WAYS! Honestly the movie was a bit laughable. The bio mom of the daughters having access to a phone and the ability to leave the hospital but also being extremely unwell STILL WEARING THE HOSPITAL GOWN just didn’t really make sense. There were so many little details that were odd and out of place that really knocked down the performance of the movie: Jess’s dad never aged, jess’s husband was just GONE, the stupid SINGULAR PAINT MARK on jess’s forehead when see was “cracking the code”, the abrupt crying scenes, why did the old lady keep jess’s drawing ect! The end was pretty good though, it kinda caught me off guard but tbh at this point i was not paying that much attention lol. There were some good moments, but everything was so obvious as if they assumed the viewers were stupid. Ultimately everything felt very cheep. I’m 17 yrs old btw, I do feel like it’s a good movie for kids 8-12 to get them into the horror scene.
