Just saw this movie on Netflix- I was surprised at how good it was!! Although there are some really, really brutal killings , the story line is well developed. Kurt Russell heads a great cast of characters and the movie is suspenseful. The brutality of the Indians scared the bejesus out of me- I thought that the director would have"sanitized" the killings but he didn't. That was more terrifying because I wanted the " good guys" to win. Let's face it- in all other westerns they win and the most brutality is a lot of shooter. But scalping and cannibalism were truly gruesome and realistic. Worse when you realize that those types of murder really happened. There is a good story and well worth seeing!!

Really enjoyed this movie- but then I love Odenkirk's characters- this movie was entertaining, nice to see an "ordinary " man become a hero. His past history as an auditor/assassin was well developed. I initially missed the first twenty minutes, wasn't really interested in the movie- mostly because of the title. But it was intriguing enough for me to find out when/where it was showing. Have now watched it three times and each time I enjoy it even more!!

I love movies about unlikely heroes! This was based on a true story about WW II. Good character development, good action and good actors!!

Love this movie, a huge fan of Clint Eastwood and Andy Garcia. Loved the plot of old man who had lost everything but got a second chance to do some good things for family and friends. Loved the humorous things he would say and do! Nice to watch movie with a new storyline and not a reboot of some tired old film. Would recommend!!
