This album defined my entire being from age 4-16, and even still to this day it’s home more so than really any piece of art imaginable. I grew up on bands like The Who, Pink Floyd, and was introduced to theatre before I could speak. Green Day was the first breakaway into my own musical interests, and have stuck with me in a deep way. The story of the album. The depth. The homage to other rock operas like Tommy by The Who, it’s unreal. A modern masterpiece and one of the best albums ever made, and always will be.
