Huge fan of the original, have seen a dozens of times. But the sequel was God awful...... ended up walking out of a movie for only the second time in my film history lifetime.. which is longer than most of the people reading this have been alive! What a Sad Little attempt to recreate something that was wonderful. Don't even know the ending and don't even care. Just like the Maitlands, this version shriveled up and died a long time ago!

Next to The Color Purple, it's one of my favorite movies.....never miss the opportunity to watch. Yes, its an absurd premise.....but you get lost in the presentation. Lessons of love, life, caring and loss abound... perhaps a bit convoluted, but timeless nonetheless. "Nothing lasts....and what a shame that is."
