This game is fantastic, almost perfect. If you love the idea of doing something over and over with slight tweaks to perfect something and get a deathless run or an excellent time, you will love this game and feel awesome when you finally start getting those runs. Having said that, the last level is buggy garbage. On my first playthrough I averaged less than 80 deaths (any hits kill you instantly so yes that’s what you should expect.) the final level? Just parkour with no enemies? Should be EASY compared to the rest of the game. Nope. Half the platforms have buggy collision because they tried to make them more and didn’t do it right, so you can KNOW exactly how to get through and the inputs just won’t matter because you’ll slide down a wall. Everything else tho, masterful (except the boss fights, they’re kinda mid). Running through the game after mastering some levels just FEELS like the way it feels watching someone speed run your favorite game.
A bit on how it works. All enemies die in one hit but so do you, your job as the player is to trial and error your way to figuring out the best possible route to clear a room using parkour elements, a few special abilities and the occasional parry of either an enemy bullet or an enemy sword. This game is made specifically for the speed runner, if you aren’t willing to try over and over again to get how to beat a specific section with enemies, then this game isn’t for you. But I can tell you after you learn the levels, zero deathing a difficult challenge in a tenth of the time it took you to do it originally feels amazing.
