I am very selective when it comes to choosing how I spend my money on a video game. A video game for me has to be different from the rest. This game here is not perfect at all, but it is near perfection. Aside from the minor defects it has, like all games, this game is completely different and captivating. The story of Aloy is very similar to my own life story, and that is something extremely satisfying and emotional for me. I can identify with this game in a very personal and close level. Also, the main story is amazing and it makes you wonder if anything like it would ever happen in RL considering all the advanced tech we have today. The character design, their personal stories, the world exploration, the combat, character development, simply everything about this game is breath taking and playing it is simply wonderful, amazing, gives you goosebumps. This one and the second version are both a master piece and THAT is what a video game should be.

This is what cinema is all about. Simply an incredible film ahead of it's time. Very entertaining with surprises from start to finish. I wish we could get a sequel.

The only way for me to give this game and it's prequel a perfect score, would be if they had broken the conventions of Zelda but still maitaining the inimaginable nostalgic and remarkable features that make a Zelda game so iconic; I absolutely love the new ways to explore and travel in any way possible and however we want, but they are slowly steering away and forgetting about all the things that made us a Zelda fan in the first place. A plain title screen when you start a new game, no dungeons in which to aquire a new item/weapon after defeating a miniboss, and with such weapon explore further into the dungeon to later defeat the main boss. That is just one of many that nintendo seems to be leaving in the past for an unknown reason to me. I was very disappointed to see no underwater exploration. Shrines are a fun little challenge, but don't quite give you that feeling of finding a dungeon, unlocking it and getting an awesome cutscene before entering it making you feel like a real hero who is about to step into an unknown place with new challenges ahead and coming out of it victorious and stronger. That's just to name a few. OG true Zelda fans would agree with me on this. BOTW and TOTK are both very beautiful games and great games in all aspects, but it feels like another Prince of Persia crisis where they turned that game into Assassin's creed and forgot all about the origins that started it all and what made players fall in love with the game in the first place. I have been playing Zelda games my entire life since I can remember, I absolutely love these new Zelda games, but I really wish we could have back all those amazing qualities from Zelda that made us fall in love with the game for the first time and being submerged by it completely. Hope Nintendo sees this review!
