The technical aspects are, as expected, stunningly good. But compared to Band of Brothers and The Pacific, the writing is cliched and superficial, the characters are shallow, the acting is bad (with the exception of Barry Keoghan), and the whole project has a glitzy sheen. I hope the later episodes are better than the first two.
