A near flawless movie from beginning to end that contains animation that is surprisingly realistic for a film made 13 years ago. Rango is the perfect movie for fans of either western, animation, or just movies in general.

A solid and otherwise criminally underrated reincarnation of the original Rocky and Bullwinkle segments from the 60s. This film is definitely worth a watch!

It is really up there with Over the Hedge as one of the most underrated films from Dreamworks. While the movie itself is not enriching as either Shrek or Kung Fu Panda, it makes that aspect up with an action packed yet humorous story, great and comedic performances from actors such as Seth Rogen and Reese Witherspoon, and the animation, while a little too realistic for Dreamworks’ standards, still holds up well for a film that was made in 2009. I would highly recommend this film for anyone interested in a sci-fi adventure!

While it’s not a great start to Sony Animation’s film library, it certainly has its charm with great performances from Martin Lawrence and Ashton Kutcher along with excellent animation that still holds up well 18 years later. Feel free to watch the direct-to-DVD sequels if you want. They may not be as good as this one, but they’re worth a shot!

It’s no wonder I watched this so many times as a kid. It’s so good! John Powell’s score really carried the whole thing.

Where’s the flare the first one had. Y’know, the well-crafted story? The lovable characters? The banger soundtrack courtesy of John Powell and Harry Gregson-Willams? All of that (with the exception the second one to an extent) seems to be missing from a sequel we’ve been waiting for 20 years. It’s so disappointing. I did like a few things about this film, like the animation that reminds me of the recent Pixar films of the last few years in terms of lighting. The characters, like I said, still have that charm and charisma from the first one. Not to mention the new voices they got for the characters do try to replicate the original voices from the original. The music, though without the assistance of John Powell, does have a chance to shine here and there. I did find Rocky and Ginger’s kid cute. Other than that, pretty alright movie for what it’s worth. I just wished it had more to offer.

Somehow, I never found anything wrong with this one. It was just 100 minutes of pure, flawed fun.

What can I say? It’s a childhood classic from start to finish.

A great movie, albeit goes by a little too quick. I did like the score and animation though.

Great movie! Makes me wish the Furious Five were in it more 🙃.
