NBC nightly news used to be something I never missed. But I have stopped watching it. In fact, I watch no “world news” broadcast on major U. S. broadcast stations. If a person watches these news broadcasts, they soon start thinking that the US is the only country in the world, and that is a very narrow and uneducated view. I now watch BBC News, which actually reports on the US better than NBS, CBS, ABC,etc. But they also report on other countries who have very important events happening and that we should all be aware of. Then I watch PBS News Hour, that goes into happenings in the US at much deeper levels than the broadcast stations. In my opinion, the US broadcast stations are much more concerned with getting money from their sponsors, who buy advertising, than they care about educating US citizens of what is happening in their country and at the exclusion of every other country in the world. Very Trump-like behavior. This is scary, ignorant, and uneducated behavior I refuse to be a part of. Once again, it is money driving what should be totally separate from big business. The citizens of the United States deserve in-depth news about their country AND other countries in the world.
