Steven Kane

The film is entertaining, but crammed with confusing plot elements which are unexplained. The focus is entirely on the creatures with very little effort to define characters. Perhaps some judicious editing would have been helpful. When $1 million or more is spent on a scene, it is hard to cut that scene even if it does nothing to advance the story.

I never thought much of Adam Sandler as an actor but he more than proves himself in Uncut Gems. The story is original, fast-paced and riveting from start to finish. I look forward to Sandler's next film in a serious role.
