A real let down. Obviously, if you love theatre, and tge original movies... you might hang on till the end as Rachel W. Performs convincingly as expected but the potential for the series to highlight really major issues for women and pregnancy with some taste( which seemed to be a major theme to begin with) was lost to a hammy gore that just made appalling fun of the female body and used C section surgery as a crass way to satisfy an unecessay need to overly appeal to an audience conditioned to blood lust. The plot became thin and unconvincing, the characters extending into tropes of successful women all being completely lunatic. and the end...well...i could have punched myself for wasting so much time to get there.

I read this book a few years ago and I can say that the TV series, for once, just brings it alive at the current time because the themes of female suppression are so powerfully aligned with actual events, particularly in middle eastern cultures. I cried for most of episode 4...everyone should watch this and reflect. Well done..this is worth watching...and reading.
