Christopher Clements

I was listening to this album when it came out in the late 70’s, and it continues to occupy it’s own space in my musical heart. Front Page News speaks to love and emotion, in a very confident and laid back way. The group had already proven their chops with “There’s the Rub” and “New England”… both masterworks. This album feels like they wrote for themselves, with lyrics reflecting their lives at the time. Maybe that’s why it connects with the listener. It’s not a guitar show, although the guitar playing is a thing of beauty. A special album that endures.
