The Chronicle of Aviation is a very comprehensive book on aviation history shown from a headline perspective. The history shown in this book is impeccable as it has chapters for each year from 1900 to 1992 and a whole large chapter detailing aviation before the 20th century. This book also has excellent diagrams of how aircraft engines work near the back of the book. Much of the information in here are things that are not quickly available in the internet and there are a countless number of pictures of aircraft common and rare. This book is a must have for aviation history enthusiasts.
