Good, but not enough to be memorable. I love that they add more depth into Eric's character, as opposed to the bland, shallow original 1989's version. Halle has a stunning voice and smile. Melissa McCarthy is phenomenal, her Poor Unfortunate Souls is probably the best one I've ever seen.
The movie could've been way shorter, especially with how they just gave a couple of seconds screentime for Ariel's sisters. I like Eric's song, although it's a bit cringy. I don't think the Scuttlebutt song is necessary, or remotely necessary AT ALL—but sure.
