** sort of spoilers ** This movie was designed to make you feel uncomfortable. From the gratuitous swearing (IMDb for yourself how many times the F-word is used) which added nothing to the story, to the tense anticipation of what was going to happen next, the animalistic gore of the sitcom monkey massacre, the insatiable gluttonous appetite of the ufo monster kite thing etc… I could go on and on. I almost feel like the vacuum cleaner alien ship is supposed to represent all of our money been sucked out of our pockets for a movie that had very low production costs. The whole thing was filmed in the middle of nowhere and the “alien” was the most basic of cgi. About 11 of us went together and left feeling let down. I gave it 3 stars because it was different and creative with some of the cinematography. But in no way does it come close to being as special a film as US or Get Out…
