Totally fascinating from so many perspectives, Sicily history, women's place in Sicily/Italy, entrepreneurial drive, underbelly of aristocracy, romance, love, strong women and their influence, most of all just a fabulous story of a family and its passage over two centuries. So well written and researched. Couldn't put it down.
