Only recently (2024) found this series Island At War. As a beautifully staged drama it was compelling in story and situation. However, it must not be taken as in any manner historical aside from the setting. Those who lived through the Nazi occupation of the Channel Islands attest to the more commonly understood and true atrocities, horrors, shortages, starvation and deprivation inflicted by the occupation forces.
