This was a very interesting movie. It goes to show how society can be so toxic and just focus on the negative and refuse to see the positive in people. It also gives light on how mental abuse from your parents can affect every aspect of your being. She was trying to help out her adopted brothers and sister, and with doing so, she became self aware and did not want to identify with the culture who oppressed her new siblings. This is what knowledge does, it changes you forever. My heart goes out to her and especially her children. Also if the future of race is for is to all be one race and identify as humans, maybe she is just ahead of her time, and we are not being progressive.
