Linda Nelson Wheeler

I read this book as a child, but later as a teacher I felt it was not appropriate for any child to read. I was very surprised and shocked to see a version of the Little Black Sambo book I had read displayed next to a religious book I had recently bought from Thrift books. Was the Sambo book supposed to have been a nod to Black History month? If so, it was very inappropriate!
