So let's get the elephant out of the room, is this a worthy successor to L4D? For me I think it is, even though I didn't grow up playing it but I know of it's Legacy and have played it a great deal and understand why people love it and to the more radical L4D fans it won't be worthy if it wasn't named L4D3 which I think it's unfair. I'm honestly enjoying the game a lot and it has lots more maps then I thought it would based on the Beta but I'm happy I'm wrong (almost makes you think you shouldn't make a final conclusion based on a beta lol but in today's age it's understandable. If this were COD then yes that final conclusion would make sense). The gameplay is great and fun, The weapons feel solid and fluent, the special infected do their jobs and make the game challenging (although I wish there were more variety in appearance instead of them being sub classes) although one infected in particular could use some tweaking and that being the Tallboy, I think he should be a bit slower and his weak spot easier to hit. The characters do have personality to them which I love, I love playing as Mom the badass old lady. So all in all I'm think this game is worthy of being a successor to L4D unlike that knock off WWZ game which I played a great deal but Back 4 Blood is superior in every way to that game especially the special infected, in that game there annoying to fight against. The bull (AKA the unfair Charger) can go around corners and even insta grab you from behind cover, the Creeper (AkA Camping Hunter) camps behind corners and again insta grab you. They are worse the higher the difficulty also 1 normal infected having the ability to incapacitate you.
Lastly the teammate AI in Back 4 Blood is AMAZING and honestly are better then L4Ds, they heal you like in L4D but also they ping out weapons, ammo, and copper (money basically you need to upgrade and buy things) they also give you ammo when you run low which is super helpful.
