There are some movies where you just have to go through the motions & hope that as it progresses. The first 15 minutes or so is the case where you have to let the movie grow to you & itself. The part of the movie where you start to get interested is when the house is sold to real estate developer Charles Deetz, Delia, his second wife & Lydia, a teenage goth there daughter. They start to wreck havoc in the house were Adam & Barbara Maitland live. There is a balance of comedy,horror & dark fantasy from Beetlejuice,Adam & Barbara Maitland & the Deetz family. Tim Burton storytelling about the afterlife of how the dead lives in another world. It shows that they are just like us but behave in their own mysterious ways. All the characters in this movie remind me of the Addams family if were introduced living in the same house!
