Not as good as you would think it would be. I was honestly disappointed with how this movie turned out, especially with all the hype around it. It’s almost like they tried to make it scary and instead rushed it which made it not scary and it didn't have that suspenseful feeling like most horror movies. The music choice was so bad, I almost forgot it was horror movie. And it’s just overall just a disappointment to anyone who really enjoys scary movies. But if your someone who doesn’t really like scary movies, but likes the element of “horror” then this movie is definitely for you.

100% one of the best movies I’ve ever watched. From the creepiness at the beginning, to the suspenseful plot-twist at the end. Even being a fan of the original Death Note, I do have to say it wasn’t similar to the tv show or books. But definitely an enjoyable and entertaining movie to watch. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting a 2nd one due to the bad reviews and hate from users because of some apparent reason. Personally I loved the movie, and I think it’s definitely worth watching.
