I had such high hopes for this movie. I think everyone giving it 5 stars is just as starved for movies with a black cast that aren’t focused on slavery, crime, racism, etc as I am. My boyfriend and I expressed more passion talking about the lack of passion and our disappointment in this movie then the lead actors had the 2+ hours. They never fought for each other... they never demanded explanations... their supposed love for one another was not evident.
