As a student of Bachelor degree in chemistry during 1963-66, I got immensely benefited by this book. Now suddenly at the age of 72 I was going thru an article on black/colored chemists (unfortunate, the world has not moved yet beyond and above). I did not know he was black. The atomic structure, molecular strucrture etc I learnt from this book. Here I suddenly understood that there are no pure single bonds and pure doble bonds etc because of the dynamic distribution of electrons between nuclei! I believe it is this book that made me see the molecules the way they should be. Yes presentation has changed, imporved a lot within the next decade. Donald Cramm and Hammond became my favourite book. But Ferguson has been always my friend and guide. Thank you.
