This is a fun movie with its roots in horror (the original Alien), yet a solid sci-fi action flick. Directed by James Cameron, the movie really hits the sweet spot for suspense, action and 80s science fiction. Sigorney Weaver returns as Ripley to really cement herself as one of the top action heroes of the era. There are also excellent performances by others as well. Bill Paxton's portrayal of Hudson is memorable, serving as both comic relief and as an action star. The movie has high re-watchability and is a must for anyone looking for sci-fi.
