Easily the worst book I've read. There is little to no character development, every character feels one dimensional. Take Brighton, for example. His whole personality is "I need to get more views and likes on social media. Anyone else who does better than me is a show off and I'm better than them. Oh, and I'd love to have powers more than anything else. I love my brother too, and I'm getting more famous by posting videos of him online."
A lot of sentences have gen Z slang, which isn't an issue, but at certain parts like "I would spend bank on this" or "you're also super underestimating the power of the gray suns" or "I have good stats" (talking about social media numbers) made me cringe.
The plot is amazing, don't get me wrong, but the style, pacing, and character development is pretty terrible. The quality was of a middle schooler writing their first fanfiction.
