Sporting a la Grieska

To put it in perspective, I read the original book as an non native speaker and for my own enjoyment and learning. None of these two aims where really fulfilled as I found the vocabulary very ordinary and repetitive and the plot was pretty poorly structured for a story which is widely regarded as a classic. In my opinion, it is just a lackluster book even taking into account the rawness you expect to find in it. Edit: If I rate it with two stars it's cause the experience wasn't bad enough to stop me from reading the whole book.
