OH MY GOD!!! Never have I been so in love with TMNT this version is definitely for this generation, and is sort of a response to the grittiness of the 2012 versions. The punchlines are killer and well delivered and I can honestly say that I don't have a favorite character because they're all so wonderful and funny in their own way. Finally Raph gets a personality other being angry, also the episodes aren't spent with Leo and Raph fighting for what ever reason, while Donnie and Mikey stand in the background. They actually act like siblings more than ever and as someone with 6 siblings I would know. I definitely had my doubts when I saw the commercials but when catching an episode by accident one day, I couldn't lift a finger to change the channel and there was a smile on my face the whole time. Everybody has more personality and never have I found April so interesting and actually exciting. If you like anime, and cartoons it's like these two had a baby and made this show. The animation while may come off as choppy, is actually really good and is definitely a work of love and as is money well spent. With wonderful action and definitely not repetitive, the main reason I didn't watch the 2012 version past the 1st season is that I already knew what was going to happen, not in the sense that I could see the future but that I already knew the direction the show was going same old, let's save April our first human friend who's scared at first but realizes they're good, blahs blah, krang blah blah shredder, splinter dies blah blah. With this show I can watch any episode and not know what's going to happen next and I love it Ieven convinced my brother who's a TMNT purist to watch and episode and he starts throwing lines from the show at me the next day! Definitely give the show a shot and don't listen to the haters who are 40 year old men, crying about how a children's show doesn't cater to them, if your a child at heart and still keep up with shows like gravity falls and Steven universe and Fooly Kooly this is for you.
