Donald Gaydon

Was beautifully filmed and had so much potential from both comedy and drama perspectives, but its ideological overtones left me very disappointed. I found it unwatchable after a while. Was it the producers' intention for every single male character to be either stupid, weak, incompetant or violently toxic? Or did it just happen by accident? I think I know the answer. Very unbalanced and such a completely alternate reality provided a poor base to develop the comedy and drama plot. Sorry to have to write this.
