At first I was skeptical in seeing this movie but I'm proud to say it was time well spent. Tim Burton did absolute wonders in capturing beautiful color and slightly dark scenes that weren't too intense for young viewers. There were even heartfelt moments where it almost brought tears to my eyes in certain parts. Loved loved loved the cast members! Danny DeVito shined throughout the movie and played a very good and believable role. Overall this movie hit the right marks just fine and it seems as though Dumbo is going to be yet another coming up classic in the near future. Tim Burton you did amazing in this film now on with beetle juice 2

I think a remake was completely useless to say the least. Even though many critical points in the movie were somewhat there, Will Smith's character didn't live up to the beloved Robin Williams. The effort done by Will was shaky to say the least, I didn't feel that Will's performance was very believable. There where times in the film I felt as I was watching "Aladdin" starring Will Smith, as Will seemed to attempt to steal the luster of the entire film and put his own memorable puns that we've seen in prior films starring him. It would have been better using CGI and remastering Robin's voice as a tribute to the "true" genie of the original classic. I also didn't understand Jafar's character (way too young), Jasmine's friend/servant in the movie was pointless and kind of confusing. Overall the movie seemed like a sped up cheesy version of a very good original classic. Just goes to show, If something isn't broken, don't fix it!!!
