Karin Martens

Beautifully written with many references to previous/ancient authors and of course Irish writers. Pride in the Irish and their hardships and humour are clearly presented and add to the charm of the book. I also enjoyed depictions of the different generations and characters. And the sad outcome ascerbated by the contiuous rain and misery of the impoverished community.
