In the past I have been disappointed in films about the life of Christ. They were not high quality and they showed a very 2 dimensional, scripture verse to scripture verse, version that was not compelling. The Chosen is a first class production of the life of Jesus and the people he chose to follow Him. It's a perspective from the eyes of His followers, religious and military leaders, and how they may have been impacted by Him. The storyline stays loyal to the Biblical fact that Jesus is the Son of God who came to earth as a man, but they have created back stories for people we know little about. It brings scripture to life in a whole new way. This is not a "B" rated production. It's first class, from the script and acting to the cinematography, sets, lighting and music. Hollywood should be very jealous because they had absolutely nothing to do with The Chosen. I highly recommend it!
