I think the way forward is jury foremen as a proper job who have a law degree and are then given jury training and get paid for the permanent position. They will always be the jury foreman and everyone else are normally chosen people aged between 25-65 years. They will keep the others on course with the facts and the criteria that must be fulfilled for offences/ defences so emotion and bulldozing others no longer happens. They will be kept separate as now from the judge etc and deliberation private.
