Revisited this Roald Dahl children's classic and as usual, it was a delight to watch. Perfectly cast, great screenplay and the 'on my way' pancake scene is always such a treat to watch. Diggin the morale of the story about books leading one's imagination into a whimsical realm and to be proud of who you are, even when adversity hits you down.

I watched a few psychological horror films and this is probably the least favourite one. I found the dialogue to be bland and the characters were not fleshed out. Even during suspenseful moments with the eerie music was not even the least bit memorable, I think the execution of it was poor. Watched 45 mins and couldn't continue to finish the rest. To be honest, watched it for Chloe Grace Moretz but the pacing and plot was not good enough sadly.
