Phoenix is a compelling Malayalam film, and I am watching first time a horror-romantic genre in Malayalam cinema. However, I couldn't shake off the feeling that certain scenes resembled those from the web series Stranger Things. For instance, John's son dreaming and traversing into another world like Upside Down, then that red thunders, also in the climax Jhons son giving a hint that the ghosts are coming to take him. The character Freddy and Anna was awesome. Despite this resemblance of some scenesin strangerthings, it remains an enjoyable and feel-good movie.
