The first few episodes of Prodigy are miles from Star Trek, so you have to push on through, but once it kicks in, it's some of the better Star Trek for a while. Ironically, the Dal RL character if probably the worst, but the rest make up for it. Great ship designs, and the nod to Star Trek IV is a nice touch.

As fairly well acted and written this was, it was hugely let down by the crass and disgusting levels it went to offend and upset. It didn't need it. If the producers/writers wanted you entertaining they probably have the skills to do that but instead focused on pushing the limits too far. Entertainment this isn't. If you compare it to Season 2, The Scare, The Scare is far superior because it focuses on fear and scariest rather than trying to focus on offending the audience and, I dunno, getting Internet clicks. 1 star is generous. I gave up half way through and wish I never started it

The first few seasons of Discovery were amazing, but season 5 is the worst of the seasons by far. Its alright, but it's light, fluffy, nicey-nicey and the 'bad guys' are lame. Incomparable to the first season with yhe Klingons.

Seriously one of the best programmes ever made. No I'm not exaggerating. After 4 seasons it's as fresh as ever. If you want to make something unique, just go for it and forget what people think and this is what this programme does. In fact it's unbelievably good. Every actor is amazing, and that don't happen in 98.46% of TV shows.
